We use SiteCM and search engine visibility is important to our business as well, so we know how important it is that your web content management system is search engine friendly. With SiteCM you do not have to sacrifice SEO for content management.
Search Engines uses hundreds of different criteria to determine the relevance of your content and we continue to innovate to ensure that your sites perform as well as they can in the search engines.
Natural File Names: SiteCM stores all of your content in a database like other content management systems, but we were one of the first developers to see the weakness of using numbers to identify web pages for both search engine and marketing purposes. With SiteCM you can specify a natural file name with keywords and even directories. No one will remember to go to www.yourdomain.com/content.php?id=47 but they will remember to go to www.yourdomain.com/event/
Page Titles: The page title is what appears in the top bar of your web browser and in your search engine links. Some systems use your page menu name as the page title so this page would have the title “SEO Friendly”. Instead we can use it to increase our visibility and call it “SEO friendly web content management”. SEO experts agree that using keywords in your page title helps to increase your visibility and click through rates.
Meta-Tags: Each page can have its own keywords and meta data description to help with search engines that still rely on them.
