With only 8 weeks to develop a site in time for the Christmas gift and charity season, Imagine1Day selected Jackelyn Thompson, a SiteCM Reseller and ideaLEVER Solutions to design and build their site using SiteCM and CommerceCM.
The charity enables donors to select which items they would like to purchase to support the development of primary schools in Ethiopia. Items range from chairs and shelves, to pumps, water towers, and cinder blocks for construction. 100% of money raised by imagine1day goes directly to supporting the projects thanks to a generous endowment by Chip Wilson, founder of Lululemon Athletica and his wife Shannon.
While many other companies said the timeline was impossible, all CommerceCM required were a few customizations. Read more with our eCommerce project snapshot.
To attract labour, investment, and business to the Interior of British Columbia Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George have teamed up and launched www.seeyouinbc.ca. As part of a larger marketing plan focusing on Europe and Asia these communities are providing information for people and businesses looking at moving to the Interior of B.C.
"The development of the website was a natural and much needed progression from attending our initial emigration fairs in Europe in the spring of this year," says Wendy Snelling, BusinessCARE Services Manager of Venture Kamloops. "The level of interest in Kamloops as a place to visit, live, work and start a business was phenomenal and we needed a mechanism to funnel initial enquiries into and this is the perfect answer."
To date over 500 Kamloops enquiries have been taken from the four emigration fairs attended, which has resulted in 15 families visiting and staying in our community this summer to check-out the opportunities. Four businesses have been purchased or in the process of being purchased, two new businesses started, plus numerous others in the process of getting work permits through the Provincial Nominee Programme which links to local permanent employment offers and subsequently permanent residency status.

Vancouver, BC, Canada – March 1, 2007- Infinity Features, producers of films such as Air Bud, Butterfly on a Wheel and the Oscar® nominated Capote had a problem. Their new Flash web site, while visually appealing, was a disaster when it came to search engines. Even using their company name, they were near the bottom of the first page on Google and absolutely invisible on Yahoo!
Their solution was to adapt the design and re-deploy the site using SiteCM Web Content Management. SiteCM had the flexibility to accommodate the non standard navigation used in the Flash site allowing Infinity Features to keep their unique layout. Now that the pages include text, Infinity Features is moving up the search engine results again!
